HW: With Lizzie McGuire, you blazed the trail for Hannah Montana, aka Miley Cyrus, and she’s obviously going through a hard time right now following her Vanity Fair spread. What would you say to her in regards to keeping a sane head as you put it?
HD: [Pensively] I don’t know? I don’t know, it’s hard. Who am I to say? I feel like everyone goes through and takes their own path and stuff. Those are decisions that she [Miley] made and now she says she’s sorry for them. It’s not an easy position to be in…people were pressuring her to do something--and if she wanted to do it, then that’s a different story. I don’t feel like I’m [meant] to comment on it. If [you'd say] it’s a weird thing to be in, it’s not what I’d choose to do; but if she did it, then that’s fine. I just don’t know how her fans would feel about it--but maybe that’s fine?
