7. Klaus, Violet and Sunny Baudelaire, Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events
The film did not launch a franchise as lucrative as the books, on which it is based, but orphans Klaus (Liam Aiken), Violet (Emily Browning) and baby Sunny (Kara and Shelby Hoffman) are pretty resourceful nevertheless. No matter what deathtrap their supposed benefactor Count Olaf (Jim Carrey) lock them in, they devise a way out using their wits, whatever props are nearby, MacGyver style -- and of course, Sunny's super-strong bite.
