8. Indiana Jones and King Solomon's Mines
Allan Quartermain's African quest preceded Indy in book and movie form, then tried to compete with him when Richard Chamberlain remade it in the '80s. Heck, if even a librarian (Noah Wyle) can go after this one in the TNT mini-series, Dr. Jones certainly has the right to find the mythical diamond caves, too.
