Scoop: Powered by a massive generator, the glittering underground refuge City of Ember will only sustain for 200 years, and is now falling into darkness, as its generator fails. Nonetheless, Ember's students must confront "Assignment Day,"wherein the shifty Mayor (Bill Murray) stands before the graduates as they choose, by lottery, how they'll spend their lives working for society. Two of the students soon investigate corruption, on a mission to restore light to their city.
