RHAMES IS MASTER HAROLD
Ving Rhames gets a juicy role. He’ll play the lead role in the big-screen adaptation of Athol Fugard's 1982 play Master Harold ... and the Boys, a role Danny Glover originated on Broadway, according to the Reporter. Rhames takes on the role of Sam, a dignified, noble waiter who is a father figure to young Hally (Freddie Highmore). South African actor Patrick Mofokeng rounds out the cast as Willie, a younger, more lighthearted waiter who is preparing for a ballroom dancing competition.
