GRAVEYARD COMES TO LIFE
This one intrigues me. Neil Gaiman’s (pictured) newly minted Newberry Award-winning book The Graveyard Book got snatched up for the big screen, with Neil Jordan being tapped to direct, according to CHUD.com. The story is a rather skewed spin on the classic The Jungle Book, in which a young boy escapes from his crib one night and wanders into a graveyard -- and on that same night, his entire family is wiped out by an assassin named Jack. The young child is taken in by some kindly ghosts who christen him Nobody and protect him from the dangers of the outside, living world. Know who else could make this? Tim Burton.
