Travolta hasn’t gone bad-guy on us in a while, and after a string of syrupy movies, it’s about time he crossed back over to the dark side. In Pelham, a remake of the 1974 crime thriller of the same name, Travolta’s Ryder leads a group of hijackers who overtake an NYC subway train and demand ransom -- or else. It doesn’t bode well for Ryder, though, that the good-guy cop in charge of the case is played by Denzel Washington!
