2010 Fall TV Preview

OLDIES BUT GOODIES
These shows have been around the block a few times, but that’s not to say we have any less love for them! In fact, these are the shows we turn to when we’re in need of a laugh, just plain bored, or looking for evidence that even old dogs are good for a few new tricks.
NEWBIES
A bunch of new shows are headed our way this season, and we’re excited to see what they’ll bring to the table. Will they be able to keep up with the big leagues or will they flounder with inexperience? We investigate.
HIGH EXPECTATIONS
These shows are also new, but we’re expecting to be blown away by their goodness. So fingers crossed for this group.
MOST LIKELY TO FAIL
Of course, not every new show will be good enough to become an Oldie but Goody. Here are the ones we think won’t make it past a first season.
GUILTY PLEASURES
These are the shows we’re ashamed to admit to our coworkers we spent watching the night before. They’re also the ones where high schoolers sporadically break out into song and celebrities dance to win our affections. Stop lying to yourself by pretending the only things you watch are Discovery Channel documentaries.
THE DEPARTED
To make room for the countless new programs, a few of the ones we’ve come to know and love so well had to take up residence at the big TiVo in the sky. Most of them will be missed, but a few of them will not and have been circling the drain for some time now.
