Friday Night Lights Finale

All you DirecTV users, it's still OK to brag that you've been privy to an entire new season of Friday Night Lights while the rest us are forced to wait until Jan. 16 for season 3's opener to premiere on NBC! Ah, so much has happened — new principal Tami played tug-of-war with the athletic and academic budgets; Dillon, TX, welcomed an excellent lesbian indie rocker named Devin; Joe punched his son square in the face. But it was last week's all-football penultimate episode — "the game people are going to talk about for years to come" — that has us faithful fans dying a little bit on the inside. Tonight's finale is said to weave in a challenging plot twist that would provide a 50-yard-line-wide opportunity to rewrite the series.
