Numb3rs, 100th Episode
(Friday, May 1, 2009)
Like Prison Break, Numb3rs is about two brothers in brotherly love. The younger brother is a whiz at math (or in Michael Scofield’s case: floorplans, tattoos and, well, math) and has always wanted to impress the big bro — and for Charlie Eppes (David Krumholtz), his aptitude in mathematics has helped FBI-agent-brother Don (Rob Morrow) solve a conundrum or two … until last week when Charlie put Don in a heckuva lot of danger. This week, in the show’s 100th episode, Charlie tries to put his lingering man-I-can’t-believe-my-big-brother-was-almost-stabbed-to-death-and-it’s-all-my-fault guilt to use by focusing his attention and acumen to uncovering an unnoticed serial killer. Tonight’s episode is a special treat to devoted fans of the show; it’ll echo a lot of the plot points of the show’s pilot, plus, it’ll offer little trivia gems that only a longtime viewer would pick up on and definitely appreciate. Congrats to Numb3rs, and us fans are looking forward to the season-finale “cliffhanger.” YESTERDAY’S DO-IT: After a cruel hiatus, Ugly Betty is back!
