Pink, Funhouse

By now, you’ve perfected the “na-na-na-na-na-na-na” part in Pink’s explosive first single, “So What.” You sing along to its first lyric, “Guess I just lost my husband, I don’t know where he went” with fanatical allegiance to Pink regarding her crumbled marriage to that twerp, Carey Hart. Good. Now get a whiff of the barbaric girl power in the other 11 songs on Pink’s fifth album, out today, titled Funhouse (Pink wanted to call it “Heartbreak is a Motherf—ker” but the suits wouldn’t let her). Nonetheless, it’s very obvious that the album is an invitation to Pink’s open wound — emotional, aggressive, moody, and totally rock-out. Best enjoyed with a glass of wine — first, to nurse the pseudo-ballads, then, to throw it in someone’s face.
