Dunzo! Girls Making Out

Why We Loved It So Much: A well-timed girl-on-girl liplock is one of the sexiest, most scintillating surprises two lady lookers can spring on an unassuming audience. When Sarah Michelle Gellar laid one on Selma Blair in Cruel Intentions -- yeah, we wanted in. And we still sometimes get bothered (in a good way) thinking about Madonna touching tongues with Britney (and Christina!) at the 2007 VMAs. Like any romantic endeavor, these makeout sessions were hot because it seemed like the powerhouse women involved wanted to kiss and be kissed -- whether a million interested eyes were watching or not.

Now, Not So Much: Few things are as pitiful as girls making out to get attention (see any installment of Girls Gone Wild), and despite our sincerest hopes and raciest fantasies, that's what Amanda Seyfried and Megan Fox' s much hyped makeout scene in Jennifer's Body feels like (that's them, above). The Fox-on-Seyfried smooch (which, of course, Megan initiates) is tongue-heavy, closeup-friendly, and, by definition, kinda hot. But despite the obvious sex appeal of the pillow-lipped actresses involved, the moment comes off more like a ploy to get horny 'n' eager butts in theater seats (the same poorly-played-out ploy Vicky Cristina Barcelona engaged in) rather than the heat-inducing variety of cinematic legend (like the one in Mulholland Drive). Even Fox admitted: "Neither one of us wanted to do it, and we were both terrified, but when you do scenes like that it's not at all sensual or sexy."  Yeah. We can tell. Consider us unsatisfied.
