Playing at a theater near you--George Lopez as Papi, the Chihuahua! I bet the comedian never thought he’d hear those words. But somehow Lopez as a proud Chihuahua, who falls for the persnickety and pampered Chihuahua Chloe (Drew Barrymore) in the box office champ Beverly Hills Chihuahua, makes sense. Here’s his take on it:
On his voice as Papi:
“I gave him a street edge. And when he was romantic, he was kinda like Antonio Banderas. Thank god he didn’t get asked to do Papi! You can’t compete, thank god they threw it to me.”
