Gossip Girl -- 8/7c on The CW
Has there been a show in recent years, or ever, that gets more buzz and less viewers than The CW’s Gossip Girl?
Perhaps Arrested Development, but that’s about it.
Gossip Girl and its cast have been on magazine covers and the frequent subject of blogosphere chatter, but very few people actually watch the show.
And when that happens, it can only mean one thing: Some “viewers” are lying about tuning in to the show!
Perhaps the predicament isn’t that cut-and-dry, but it all becomes moot after tonight’s show, the season 1 finale. (Not to worry, though, there will be a sophomore season in September.)
In tonight’s episode, Blair (Leighton Meester) faces off with the evil Georgina (guest star Michelle Trachtenberg) in order to defend her best friend Serena (Blake Lively). Serena, meanwhile, finally reveals her past to Dan (Penn Badgley), and it’s a lot to digest.
