Inception
Starring:
Leonardo DiCaprio
,
Ken Watanabe
and
Marion Cotillard
Directed by:
Christopher Nolan
Opens July 16, 2010
Dark Knight
director Nolan takes a break from the Batman franchise for this sci-fi thriller set “within the architecture of the mind” and revolving -- we think -- around a case of corporate espionage. (Warner Bros. has been surprisingly effective in keeping this one under wraps, so we’re sadly forced to speculate.) Leo returns for more mind-bending fun after teaming with Scorsese for the brain-scrambler
Shutter Island
.
What We Think:
We’re down for anything involving Nolan – or DiCaprio, for that matter -- even though the first
Inception
trailer felt a little too
Matrix-y
for our tastes.
Cool to Know:
Inception
is the first project Nolan’s conceived, written, and directed entirely on his own since 1998’s Following, his first feature film. 2000’s
Memento
was based on a short story by his brother, Jonathan.
