Whereas most made-for-TV movies are filled to the brim with sap and cheese--like last night’s good-but-not-necessarily-different Vinegar Hill--HBO’s are cut from a different cloth.
They’re actually worth watching!
Case in point: Recount.
Kevin Spacey and Tom Wilkinson lead an amazing ensemble cast in this dramatization of the 2000 presidential-election controversy and subsequent recounts in Florida.
Directed by comedy maestro Jay Roach (the Austin Powers trilogy, Meet the Parents/Fockers), Recount also stars Denis Leary, Bob Balaban and Laura Dern.
