SEAN PENN PLAYS THE GAME

Yes, Sean Penn, you do make it hard for us to appreciate you sometimes, but we’re always happy when you are acting. The recently anointed Best Actor may be looking at Fair Game, the drama about the outing of CIA agent Valerie Plame Wilson, as his next gig, Variety reports. Directed by Mr. and Mrs. Smith Doug Liman and starring Naomi Watts, Penn is in negotiations to play Ambassador Joseph Wilson, Plame’s husband. Wilson watched his wife's CIA status become compromised after he wrote op-ed columns that accused the Bush Administration of manipulating intelligence about weapons of mass destruction to justify the invasion of Iraq. Take it, Sean!
