Everyone's still so excited about robots, despite all the movies warning us that they will take over the earth and enslave us all. Well, there are just as many movies about cute and cuddly robots, like this week's WALL E. Before Pixar's latest creation, there was a long history of memorable robots in movies, television and gaming. Here are the top 10. And no cyborgs. They're half living tissue. These are the top 10 purely mechanical robots!

10. B-9 (Lost in Space)
Cheesy 1998 remake aside, the robot from Lost in Space got kids around the world to try to build their own robot friends. Most never got beyond garbage cans and naked wire, but the TV version had his own catch phrase, "Danger, Will Robinson!"
