Man vs. Wild (Season Premiere) – 9/8c on Discovery
On the menu for the fourth-season premiere? Wild reindeer meat and (surprise, surprise) a little bit of host Bear Grylls’ chilled urine -- only there’s a twist: Bear isn't utilizing his bodily fluid for the sake of hydration as in past episodes, but rather to give his skis better traction while navigating the Arctic Circle. That’s OK -- urine as sustenance is so passé for the wilderness-survival series by now. In fact, Bear would pretty much have to self-cannibalize to shock us at this point.
