2 Chainz fumes at Dabbing Santa ugly sweater rip-offs

Rapper 2 Chainz has accused bosses at U.S. superstore Walmart of ripping off one of his most popular ugly Christmas sweater designs.
The I’m Different hitmaker launched his holiday clothing collection in 2015, with one featuring an image of a dancing Father Christmas, known as the Classic Dabbing Santa.
Proceeds from the merchandise sales benefitted his T.R.U. Foundation charity, through which 2 Chainz helped those in need in his native Georgia.
However, on Thursday (14Dec17), the hip-hop star was left fuming after discovering a very similar series of Dabbing Santa sweaters was being sold on Walmart’s website.
“Oooh nooo someone please tell Walmart that they didn’t get permission to use this patent or likeness in anyway (sic),” he wrote on Instagram, beside a screenshot of the products. “We use this sweater this time of year to spread togetherness and also give back to those who are less fortunate or not able to provide for their families at the time.”
“That being said it’s gone be a Jolly Holly Xmas (sic),” he added, suggesting he was seeking big compensation from Walmart officials by adding a number of telling hashtags.
“#WALMARTGONEBUYMEAHOUSE,” he posted, followed by, “#WALMARTGONEBUYMEACAR #Walmartgonegiveback2mycommunity #WALMARTGONEMAKEMEASTAR (sic)”.
Representatives for the retailer have yet to publicly respond to 2 Chainz.
The rapper’s ugly Christmas sweater line was a huge hit with fans upon its release, raking in almost $2 million (£1.5 million) in profits within its first few months on sale.
2 Chainz, whose late father was a veteran, subsequently performed a series of charitable surprises, helping one disabled soldier by paying his rent for a year, and handing the keys to a new minivan to a family struggling to make ends meet.
