Jane Fonda suggested Monday night that her decision never to return to acting may not be written in stone. Appearing as guest of honor at the Film Society of Lincoln Center, Fonda told a celebrity-packed audience, “If I ever go back to acting, I’m going to take Valium.” As New York Daily News columnist Mitchell Fink pointed out Wednesday, “Until Monday, she had not been saying ‘if.'”
