Absolutely Fabulous star Julia Sawalha blasts sister for TV ‘lies’

Absolutely Fabulous star Julia Sawalha has blasted her TV presenter sister for allegedly telling lies about their family on her popular daytime show.
The actress turned on Nadia, 54, in an angry Twitter rant on Wednesday (21Aug19), accusing her older sister of telling “lies” and spouting “rubbish” on Loose Women to grab “sympathy and attention”.
The outburst came just two days after Nadia opened up about her “really volatile relationship” with the 50 year old on Monday’s edition of Loose Women.
Firing back, Julia tweeted: “So tired of #nadiasawalha talking about our ‘stormy’ relationship which she created. I’ve kept my privacy for 6 years to protect my family, whilst she talks lies & rubbish.
“You have destroyed our family so don’t sit on TV with your fake tears to gain sympathy & attention… I’m not actually fighting, she is, but paints a very different picture publicly and I’ve had enough.”
And when one follower suggested Julia should show Nadia “unconditional love”, the actress shot back: “Tried that, made it even worse, but thank you.”
Another fan hopes the sisters could “eventually sort it out”, prompting Julia to respond: “I know, just watching 6 years of her lies finally got to me, which of course is just what she wants, more attention. Thank you for your understanding.”
Julia later added: “I wouldn’t ever do this online, my pressure cooker blew. Thank you for your love, means a lot.”
Nadia irked her sister on Monday during a segment celebrating Loose Women’s 20th anniversary, when she fought back tears and said, “She’s really amazing, my younger sister, but we’ve always had a really volatile relationship. We’ve always had periods of time in our life where we don’t speak. I always say I have the best time or the worst time of my life with her.”
