The wife of actor Robert Blake, best known for his 1970s TV show Baretta, was shot to death Friday night as she waited for him in the couple’s car, after he ran back into the Hollywood restaurant where they had just eaten to get something he forgot. Bonny Bakley, 44, was shot once in the head at about 9:40 PDT and was pronounced dead at the hospital, Guillermo Campos, a spokesman for the Los Angeles police department told Reuters. No arrests have been made and police investigators were talking to Blake as a witness. Blake, who was still in hospital Sunday after suffering from high blood pressure, has hired an investigator to solve his wife’s murder.
