‘Stranger Things’ Finn Wolfhard’s Rock Band Scores Record Deal

Stranger Things actor Finn Wolfhard has landed a record deal for his new rock band.

The 14-year-old, who portrays Mike Wheeler on the hit sci-fi show, and his Calpurnia bandmates have signed to Canada’s Royal Mountain Records – the home of singer/songwriter Mac DeMarco and punk stars PUP, who previously recruited Finn for their music videos Guilt Trip and Sleep in the Heat.

Calpurnia, which also includes fellow Guilt Trip actor Malcolm Craig, are currently working on their debut EP with Cadien Lake James, the frontman of rockers Twin Peaks, ahead of a planned release next year (18).

Sharing the news in a press release, Finn says, “It is so sweet that we have such a good team at Royal Mountain Records. I love everyone on it. I’m extremely excited to record our EP with Cadien Lake James. Not only is he in one of my favorite bands of all time, and recorded some of my favorite songs, but he is also the sweetest guy ever. Thanks everyone so much who helped us out along the way, it means the world.”
