Actor Jack Kesy denies drug charge

THE STRAIN star JACK KESY has pleaded not guilty to a charge of cocaine possession following an undercover drugs bust in New York.
The 31-year-old actor, who plays rock star-turned-vampire Gabriel Bolivar in the hit horror TV show, surrendered to authorities in New York City on Tuesday (05May15) after a warrant was issued for his arrest.
The warrant stemmed from an incident in January (15) when Kesy, real name Jacek Kesey, was caught on a wiretap allegedly ordering cocaine from a dealer and getting into a car with undercover cops.
He pleaded not guilty during a hearing at Manhattan Supreme Court and was freed on $10,000 (£6,250) bail.
According to the New York Post, the judge overseeing the hearing, Justice Edward McLaughlin, questioned Kesy’s celebrity status in court, saying, “If he were Clark Gable, I would know Clark Gable’s face. I would know Ron Howard’s face, but he (Kesy) is faceless as far as I’m concerned.”
