Actor Tony Cavalero cast as Ozzy Osbourne in Motley Crue biopic

Actor and comedian Tony Cavalero has been cast as Ozzy Osbourne in the much-anticipated Motley Crue biopic.

The School of Rock actor will star as the former Black Sabbath frontman in Netflix movie The Dirt, which will be based on the 2001 autobiography The Dirt: Confessions of the World’s Most Notorious Rock Band, which was written by bandmates Tommy Lee, Vince Neil, Mick Mars, and Nikki Sixx, and author Neil Strauss.

The memoir follows the group’s rise in the 1980s and their highs and lows along the way. It has been adapted for the screen by Rich Wilkes and Tom Kapinos and will be directed by Jeff Tremaine, who helmed the Jackass movies. The members of Motley Crue are co-producing.
