Actress Anne Jeffreys dies at 94

Actress Anne Jeffreys has died at the age of 94.

The star passed away on Wednesday (27Sep17).

Jeffreys started her career as an opera singer but transitioned into films after she appeared in stage show Fun for the Money. She was subsequently cast in her first film, I Married an Angel, and went on to star in several movies and TV shows, including Dick Tracy, Step Lively, and Zombies on Broadway.

She returned to the stage later on in her career and appeared in several Broadway productions, including Street Scene, Kiss Me, Kate, and Three Wishes for Jamie.

Jeffreys later emerged from semi-retirement and started booking TV roles. She was featured in L.A. Law, Murder, She Wrote, Baywatch, and Battlestar Galactica. The actress also had a recurring role on soap opera General Hospital from 1984 to 2004.

Jeffreys was married to actor Robert Sterling from 1951 until his death in 2006.

Flowers will be placed on the actress’ Hollywood Walk of Fame star on Thursday (28Sep17).
