Actress Lisa Spoonauer’s death ruled accidental overdose

Coroners have ruled Clerks star Lisa Spoonauer died from an accidental painkiller overdose.
The actress, best known for playing Caitlin Bree in Kevin Smith’s cult 1994 movie, passed away in May (17) at her home in Jackson Township, New Jersey at the age of 44.
At the time, authorities believed she had died of natural causes relating to a previously-unspecified chronic illness, but now the Ocean County Medical Examiner has ruled her cause of death was due to the acute and chronic intravenous use of hydromorphone, a powerful narcotic also known as Dilaudid.
According to TMZ.com, Spoonauer had been battling cancer, lung disease, anaemia, and immune deficiency, which were all found to be contributing factors to her passing.
