Actress Peggy Cummins Dies

Irish actress Peggy Cummins has died at the age of 92.

Cummins suffered a stroke and died in a London hospital surrounded by her family on Friday (29Dec17), her friend Dee Kirkwood told The Hollywood Reporter.

After being spotted by a talent scout while on the London stage, Cummins came to America in 1945 to star in Forever Amber. However, she was dropped mid-production for not being “sexy enough” and replaced by Linda Darnell.
