Actress Rose Rollins is set to become a first-time mum next month (May17).
The Mission: Impossible III star is due to welcome a baby boy with her Australian boyfriend Sebastian just three days after her birthday on 30 April (17), and the actress is quietly hoping he isn’t born on her big day.
“I know it sounds selfish, because he’s the greatest gift ever and I can’t wait for him to get here,” she tells Fit Pregnancy, “but if he comes on my birthday? I’d lose my birthday in perpetuity!”
The 35-year-old also admits she was hoping to have a baby girl because she and Sebastian have a lot of brothers.
“We were talking to the baby as if he were a girl,” she says. “We thought our Jedi mind tricks to ensure a girl were working. Then a sonogram made it clear as day we were having a boy. That required a mental shift.”
Rose has experienced a lot of highs and lows emotionally and physically during her pregnancy, but one thing that was easy for the actress was picking out the name.
“Looking up the meaning of names sounds so tedious to me,” she continues. “Choosing his name was my quickest decision in history. Sebastian said, ‘Babe, I really like this name.’ I was like, ‘OK, that’s pretty.’ And that was it. I love the name. It makes me happy. We’re keeping it a secret for now.”
And the actress has high hopes for her son’s temperament.
“I want the most well-behaved child on the planet,” she adds. “Sebastian and I have talked about how we’re going to try not to revolve our lives around him. We don’t want to baby our baby. When he’s three or four, we want him to be able to dine on sushi with us.”
However, she quips, “I know I’m probably delusional.”
