Adidas, Tom Ford and Jeremy Scott kick off New York Fashion Week

Adidas, Tom Ford and Jeremy Scott kicked off New York Fashion Week on Thursday night (08Feb18).
Top brands presented their fall/winter 2018 collections as part of the fashion extravaganza, with models Kendall Jenner and Hailey Baldwin walking the catwalk for the German sportswear brand.
Kendall, 22, arrived at the event wearing a black and white luxe tracksuit paired with tights and open-toe Gianvito Rossi heels, while 21-year-old Hailey donned a comfy all-red Adidas outfit with black boots and a long, red coat.
The models, who are also Adidas brand ambassadors, were dressed by 23-year-old Dutch designer Danielle Cathari who showcased luxury athleisure which included multi-coloured tracksuits, crop tops, and shorts as well as two-piece denim ensembles.
Adidas have also been praised for the diversity of its catwalk show, as over half of the brand’s models were from various backgrounds, and one walked the runway wearing a hijab.
Meanwhile, designer Tom Ford’s womenswear presentation took inspiration from the ’80s and showcased a vast array of patterns and materials.
Models, such as Kaia Gerber and Joan Smalls, were outfitted in brightly coloured animal prints which were complemented with lots of glitter and velvet. Highlights of the line including tailored blazers and sequined tops and bottoms, which were accessorised with oversized diamond hoops and fishnets, Ford’s flamboyant collection also featured some eye-catching footwear including a pair of red, leopard-print embellished kitten heels.
While Jeremy Scott showcased a futuristic looking collection full of bright, neon colours and metallics. The stand-out item from the designer’s collection were his thigh-high moon boots which were modelled by Jourdan Dunn, who walked the runway wearing a green blunt bob-style wig which matched a green belted mini-dress. Gigi Hadid also walked the runway for Scott, sporting candy-coloured lace-up platform booties with pastel pink tights.
