Al Franken Apologizes to a Second Woman Over Alleged Inappropriate Conduct

Comedian-turned-U.S. Senator Al Franken has apologized for allegedly touching a second woman inappropriately.

Lindsay Menz claimed the former Saturday Night Live star touched her butt while she was posing for a picture with him in 2010 at the Minnesota State Fair.

“He pulled me in really close, like awkward close, and as my husband took the picture, he put his hand full-fledged on my rear,” she tells CNN. “It was wrapped tightly around my butt cheek.”

“It wasn’t around my waist,” she adds. “It wasn’t around my hip or side. It was definitely on my butt. I was like, ‘Oh my God, what’s happening?'”

Menz claims she didn’t say anything to Franken about the alleged incident, but told her husband the former comedian grabbed her butt.

Franken is now speaking out about the alleged encounter, insisting he doesn’t remember taking a photo with Menz.

“I take thousands of photos at the state fair surrounded by hundreds of people, and I certainly don’t remember taking this picture,” he says. “I feel badly that Ms. Menz came away from our interaction feeling disrespected.”

Menz’s allegations come days after Franken apologized to TV personality Leeann Tweeden after she accused him of kissing and groping her during a USO (United Service Organization) tour in 2006.
