Alice Cooper lands burger restaurant honour

Rocker Alice Cooper has landed an unusual new honour – he’s been inducted into the Craver Hall of Fame at U.S. fast food restaurant White Castle. The heavy metal star, real name Vincent Furnier, is a big fan of the junk food brand and was invited to stop by the company’s headquarters in Columbus, Ohio on Monday (07Jul14) for a special presentation.
During the ceremony, Cooper recalled sharing White Castle hamburgers with his father when he was a child, sparking his lifelong love of the sliders.
Upon receiving a plaque commemorating his place in the Craver Hall of Fame, he said, “A lot of my fellow rockers are going to be envious of this honour!”
He then joined local band Misfit Toys for an impromptu performance of his hit song No More Mr. Nice Guy.
Cooper, who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2011, was in Columbus ahead of his joint show with Motley Crue on Tuesday (08Jul14).
