Alison Brie broke down in tears during training session for GLOW

Alison Brie wept through a gruelling training session for the second season of Glow.

The hit Netflix drama returned to the small screen in June (18), with Alison and her band of female wrestlers hopping back in the ring for a second round of the ’80s-style grappling club.

The 35-year-old actress reteamed with her trainer of seven years, Jason Walsh, founder of Los Angeles-based workout studio Rise Nation, to get ready for season two, but, after weeks of exhausting training, he revealed a 10-round EMOM (every minute on the minute) circuit of weighted Bulgarian split squats, proved to be the last straw for the star.

“It was actually the first time I’ve ever seen her cry – it makes a lot of people want to cry,” he shared in an interview with Shape, adding that the circuit involves doing 10 reps of Bulgarian split squats on each leg every minute over the course of 10 minutes.

“The next minute, you start again no matter what,” he explained. “So, the faster you do them, the more time you have to rest, but the more energy you expend, so it’s an odd feeling.”
As well as the circuits, Jason had Alison performing 200-pound deadlifts, heavy hip thrusts, front squats and weighted bear crawl sled drags.

Alison went into the second season of GLOW with the goal of doing her own stunts, which differed from the first when her focus was on building strength and injury prevention.

“She was so jazzed about going in and doing all of them herself,” he smiled. “That was her goal.”
Alison regularly documents her fitness regime on social media and earlier this month (Sep18) she posted a workout alongside fellow actress Brie Larson.

“It’s like you’re dreaming about gorgonzola cheese when it’s clearly BRIE TIME, BABY,” she quipped in the caption on Instagram.
