Singer Andy Grammer has become a first-time father to a baby girl.
The Honey, I’m Good star and his wife Aijia Lise welcomed Louisiana K. Grammer on Friday (28Jul17).
“We’re so in love. We can’t believe we get to keep her,” Grammer tells People magazine.
Andy and Aijia announced their pregnancy news in March (17), and upon finding out the child’s sex, Andy knew immediately that he wanted to honor his mom Kathy, who passed away eight years ago.
“(We will be) finding a way to use her name,” he said at the time. “When I talk about my mother, the only thing that makes me super emotional is that I had such a sweet bond with my mother, and even when I try to talk about this little new lady that’s coming into our lives I get a little emotional, too.”
“I take the role of being a father to a daughter very seriously,” Grammer added. “I think there’s something very special about that – there’s a lot about women’s empowerment right now; I think the coolest thing you can do is just raise a really strong daughter.”
The couple wed in 2012.
