Angelina Jolie used to colour her hair with a Sharpie

Angelina Jolie once changed her hair colour using a Sharpie pen.
The 42-year-old is often described as one of the most beautiful women in the world, but the actress hasn’t always boasted such a polished look. And in a new interview with American InStyle, Angelina revealed the unusual hair technique she adopted when she was younger.
“I’m sure I had my moments when I was little where I would put make-up all over my face, but I was a bit of a tomboy. And then I was a bit of a punk. Nowadays it’s very popular to dye your hair blue, for example. In my day you bleached it and used a Sharpie (for colour),” she divulged.
The mother-of-six now prefers a more natural look, admitting she has “the most boring make-up kit”.
However, because her 13-year-old daughter Zahara is developing more of an interest in beauty as she grows up, Angelina is finding she needs to stock up on extra products.
“I remember she had a girlfriend over one night, and they said they were going to do dress-up and did I have any make-up?” she recalled. “I gave them my make-up, but I wear one colour red, and I have black eyeliner and mascara. I now have a backup kit in case anybody wants to play.”
