Angelina Jolie: ‘Women get better with age’

Angelina Jolie doesn’t believe that “femininity fades after 40”.

The actress, has long been considered one of the world’s most beautiful women, receiving particular attention for her full lips and vast tattoo collection. And despite having been in the public eye for decades, Angelina said she feels no less beautiful than she did in her younger years, and has encouraged others to ignore the notion that “femininity fades after 40”.

“It is just simply not true,” the 43-year-old insisted in an interview with Vogue Australia. “Wisdom, understanding, clarity of thought – all the things that come with age – are also beautiful and feminine qualities. I’d like to think we all get better with age, men and women.

“There is nothing more attractive than someone being fully themselves, without inhibition, in whatever form that takes.”

Angelina, who is mother to six children, adopting three internationally, with ex-husband Brad Pitt, has served as the face of Guerlain’s Mon Guerlain fragrance since 2017, and went on to become the first Hollywood actress to ever co-create a fragrance when the brand released an eau de toilette version of the scent.

She has also involved her 14-year-old son Pax in the project, inviting him to one of Guerlain’s bespoke perfume ateliers with in-house perfumer Thierry Wasser.

Pax and I each made a perfume,” she smiled. “We laughed that his was so much better.”
