Anjelica Huston planning to turn home into social club

The Addams Family star has launched a bid to transform the mansion in Venice, California into a community space which will include a restaurant, swimming pool and gallery.

The house was built for Huston by her late husband, sculptor Robert Graham, in 1994 and she hopes the project will preserve her partner’s legacy.

In the planning proposal, obtained by New York Post gossip column Page Six, she writes, “I bestow my heartfelt support for… (the) intention to create a community gathering space that honours Venice’s unique legacy at 69 Winward Ave.”

Huston is offering the building up for $12 million (£7.5 million) and has accepted a seat on the project’s advisory board.
