Anne Hathaway spending holidays in new Connecticut home

Christmas has come early for actress Anne Hathaway after treating herself to a new vacation home on the Connecticut shore.
The Les Miserables star and her husband Adam Shulman, who are based in New York, recently purchased the 1920s cottage near Westport’s Compo Beach for $2.8 million (£2.1 million), and the couple spent its first Thanksgiving there on Thursday (23Nov17), according to the New York Post.
The house boasts five bedrooms and five bathrooms, as well as an outdoor kitchen and “ornamental English gardens”.
It’s the latest addition to Hathaway and Shulman’s property portfolio – last year (16), the pair, parents to one-year-old son Jonathan, bought a luxury apartment in Manhattan’s Upper West Side for $2.55 million (£1.9 million).
