Nas fell in love with Wyoming while recording with Kanye West

Rapper Nas will always be grateful to Kanye West for introducing him to Wyoming.
The Illmatic star was among the collaborators who joined Kanye at his remote retreat in Jackson Hole, where he recorded a bunch of new material earlier this year.
Nas recorded much of his new album Nasir in the wilderness and now admits it was a treat to get out of the city and enjoy nature.
“It’s (Wyoming) one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to, and it was the last place I ever thought I’d record an album,” Nas said during a Tuesday night appearance on America’s The Late Show. “We were there and nobody bothered us, and it was a good time.
“Kanye is the kind of guy who needed to be away from everything to record… I’ve never been there, but I went there and it was a great experience.”
The highlight came when Nas confronted a sick moose: “He didn’t look that strong,” he explained. “You can spot a sick moose when you see one.”
