Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger avoid temptation with alcohol and club ban

Married singers Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger avoid drinking alcohol and partying in nightclubs when they are apart in an effort to avoid temptation. The pop stars, who wed in July (13) after a whirlwind romance, have imposed strict rules on themselves as they prepare to head out on separate tours this winter (13), because they don’t want to risk damaging the close bond they have shared since striking up a relationship in February, 2012.
Lavigne tells People magazine, “We don’t go more than two weeks without seeing each other”, while Nickelback frontman Kroeger says, “And we don’t drink when we’re apart… We don’t want to go anywhere that you’re asking for trouble.”
However, the Sk8er Boi hitmaker admits the club ban can be a downer when she’s ready to continue partying after a gig.
She confesses, “It sucks! But when you’ve got something special, you can’t be careless with it.”
Her rocker beau adds, “This is something we want to cherish and protect.”
Kroeger insists they are happiest together, spending time alone at their home in Ontario, Canada, and, although they are keen to start a family, it won’t be in the immediate future.
He says, “We both want (kids). We just need to find a time we’re both at home to get around to it”, and Lavigne chips in, “With this crazy lifestyle, you relish the time you can be quiet.”
