The Mulholland Falls star made legal moves to divorce Joanne earlier this month (Jul11), after citing his desire to protect himself and their two daughters, Avis, three and Finley, one.
He was granted a protective order against his spouse after alleging she suffers from a serious drinking problem.
He also obtained temporary custody of their children after a fight at the family’s Oregon home turned nasty. Baldwin called police to intervene, claiming his intoxicated wife had attacked him in front of the kids.
But Joanne, who was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) just days after the incident, is fighting back in legal papers of her own, accusing Baldwin of kicking her out of the family home without any money to survive.
She is appealing to have the restraining order removed for the sake of her girls, stating: “I am a stay at home mum and my children need me as I (need) them.”
The Baldwins, who married in 2007, are expected to fight it out in court over custody next month (Aug11), reports TMZ.com.
