Jackass star Bam Margera was arrested for a DUI on Sunday (07Jan18), two weeks after becoming a first-time dad.
Sources tell TMZ the TV stuntman was busted when he slowed down to chat to police officers engaged in a traffic stop with another motorist.
Detecting alcohol on Bam’s breath, the California cops insisted he undergo a field sobriety test, which he failed.
He was booked and released on Sunday afternoon.
This is Bam’s first DUI arrest, but he’s battled alcohol abuse for years and spoke about embracing sobriety months ago after revealing he was set to become a dad.
The wild man’s wife Nicole Boyd gave birth to the couple’s first child, son Phoenix Wolf Margera, just before Christmas (17).
Bam‘s mother, April Margera, tells TMZ her son relapsed in his battle with sobriety over the weekend and the family is now trying to get him into a treatment facility.
