Bar Rafaeli: ‘I don’t want my picture shown at Roger Waters concerts’

Leonardo DiCaprio’s supermodel ex Bar Rafaeli has demanded Pink Floyd lead singer Roger Waters stop using her image at his concerts after he called for a cultural boycott against native Israel. Waters, who is reportedly a supporter of a campaign called Boycott Divestment and Sanctions against Israel (BDS), has written an open letter to his fellow musicians, urging them to stop performing in the country because of apparent “apartheid” and “ethnic cleansing” in ongoing disputes with neighbouring Palestine.
The letter, written on 18 August (13), reads, “Join with me, and thousands of other artists around the world, to declare a cultural boycott on Israel. To shed light on these problems and also to support all our brothers and sisters in Palestine and Israel who are struggling to end all forms of Israeli oppression.”
Initially the Sports Illustrated model was thrilled that her picture was used in a 2011 Waters concert, but after reading the letter Rafaeli has decided she no longer wants to be linked to the rock legend.
In a tweet she posted in Hebrew on Wednesday (21Aug13), she wrote, “Roger Waters, you better take my picture off of the video art at your shows. If you’re boycotting – go all the way.”
