The Funny Girl icon made a return to acting with small parts in Ben Stiller’s 2004 movie Meet the Fockers and its 2010 sequel Little Fockers, but she wasn’t sure she wanted to spend long hours on set again if she decided to sign on for The Guilt Trip.
However, the 70 year old admits she is happy she did because she had a lot of fun working with funnyman Rogen.
She tells U.S. newswoman Katie Couric, “It was fun to do a starring role again… (In) the Fockers I have a little part, which is fine, I love just doing six days on a movie, but this one, they kept asking me to do it for a year and I kept saying no, no, no, no… Full-time work, you know? But it was actually very interesting and Seth was very good to work with because we both love to improvise and play and our director, Anne Fletcher, and the writer, Dan Fogelman, let us.”
The Guilt Trip is due for release in the U.S. on Christmas Day (25Dec12).
