Beanie Sigel released from prison

Rapper Beanie Sigel has been released from a Pennsylvania prison after serving time for drug possession. The hip-hop star, real name Dwight Grant, was ordered to serve six to 23 months behind bars in March, 2013 following an arrest the previous August (12), when police found pills and codeine syrup on his person during a traffic stop in Philadelphia, shortly before he was due to report to authorities to begin a two-year stint for tax evasion.
However, he was allowed to walk free from the Federal Detention Center in Philadelphia on Thursday (14Aug14), according to pal DJ Drama.
The DJ shared an image of Sigel on his Instagram.com page on Thursday alongside the message, “welcome home beans (sic)!”
