Bella Hadid obtains restraining order against ‘stalker’

Model Bella Hadid has obtained a restraining order against a man accused of stalking her.

Brian Perez was arrested last week (ends09Feb18) after the 21-year-old called the New York Police Department when she noticed the 37-year-old had posted a photo of her apartment building on Instagram, while other reports suggested Bella actually saw the man walking near her apartment.

Hadid has been concerned about the behavior of Perez, who she claims has been sending her “numerous unwanted threatening messages” on social media threatening her and members of her family between 17 December (17) and 7 February.

Police officials believe Perez is the same person who has been sending Hadid the messages and now he has been ordered to stay away from the model, according to TMZ.
Perez has been charged with aggravated harassment and stalking, but it is unclear if he is still in custody.

It’s not the first time the Hadid family have had to deal with unwanted attention. Last July, a man accused of stalking Bella’s sister Gigi was sentenced to up to three years in prison. Marcell Porter, 37, was arrested on suspicion of stalking and burglary in June 2015, after allegedly attempting to gain access to the catwalk star’s New York City home on numerous occasions.

Porter is said to have left messages for Gigi, in which he referred to himself as her soulmate and wrote about marrying the model, who is dating singer Zayn Malik, and starting a family.

After pleading guilty to burglary in connection to the arrest, the case went to trial – where Porter was told he would be spending up to three years in jail.
