Beyonce has three-project deal with Netflix – report

Beyonce reportedly has two more projects coming up with Netflix following the release of her Homecoming documentary.
Beyonce released Homecoming on Wednesday (17Apr19), offering fans an inside look into the making of her 2018 headline performance at Coachella, and on the same day, she surprise released an accompanying live album.
According to Variety, there are more Netflix specials to come from the pop princess, as she signed a three-project deal with the streaming service, which reportedly earned her $60 million (£46 million) in total.
As an executive producer, writer and director of Homecoming, Beyonce reportedly received $20 million (£15 million) from that one special.
Fans rushed to social media to express their excitement over the reported deal, with one user writing, “Beyonce signed w netflix for three projects with homecoming being the first, meaning we have two more… i could cry,” and another added, “We’re really about to get not 1, not 2 but THREE official Beyonce projects on Netflix. she didn’t have to do that but she did…for us.”
However, others took issue with the price, with director Matthew A. Cherry tweeting, “If Netflix paid $60 million for three Beyonce projects they got off real cheap,” and another posting, “Didn’t they pay $100 million for them dusty Friends episodes that already air on 100 different stations at least 50 times a day? They can spare more for the QUEEN.”
In addition to the Coachella performance, Homecoming shows behind-the-scenes clips of the months of preparation that went into the show and Beyonce getting back into shape after the birth of her twins Rumi and Sir in June 2017.
“What people don’t see is the sacrifice,” she says in one of the many voiceovers. “I definitely pushed myself further than I knew I could. And I learned a very valuable lesson. I will never, never push myself that far again.”
