Beyonce walks Met Gala red carpet without Jay Z

Beyonce walked the red carpet at the Met Gala without husband Jay Z, following cheating allegations sparked from her new album Lemonade.
The pop superstar reignited rumours her husband of eight years had been unfaithful when she released the chart-topping record last month (Apr16), as the tracks featured lyrics detailing a broken marriage.
Many fans were quick to assume the pointed words were about the rapper, but she appeared to put the rumours to rest by dedicating song Halo to her “beautiful husband” during her tour opening show in Miami, Florida last week (27Apr16).
“I want to dedicate this song to my family, thank you guys for supporting me. I want to dedicate this song to my beautiful husband, I love you so much,” she told the crowd at Marlins Park. “I love you so much. Blue, I love you so much.”
But during Monday’s (02May16) annual fashion bash at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, Beyonce posed for photographers by herself, wearing a custom Givenchy gown made out of nude latex and embellished with pearls.
Moments before she hit the red carpet solo, Beyonce’s younger sister Solange, whose director husband Alan Ferguson was also not by her side, showed off her bright lemon yellow dress by designer David Laport, and topped it off with thigh-high yellow latex leggings.
Ironically, the Met Gala was the event that sparked infidelity rumours in the first place, when surveillance footage appeared to show Solange kicking and punching her brother-in-law as they left a party at the Standard Hotel following the annual fashion bash in 2014.
The Drunk In Love hitmaker later issued a statement declaring her husband and younger sister had “worked through” their disagreement, while Solange insisted she was “at peace” with the incident.
This year (16), two stars that did come together were supermodel Gigi Hadid and former One Direction star Zayn Malik, who made their first public appearance together as a couple at the Met Gala. The pop star even donned metal arm braces with his black Tommy Hilfiger suit to go along with the gala’s technology and future theme.
Loved up couples Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs, The Weeknd and Bella Hadid, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, and Kate Mara and Jamie Bell also appeared on the red carpet together, but new lovebirds Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom walked the red carpet separately, despite each adding electronic toys Tamagotchis to their ensembles.
Bloom prominently carried one in his suit pocket, while Katy hung one from her purse.
