British rocker-turned-beekeeper Bez is planning to launch a honey-flavoured beer. The former Happy Mondays star has quit life in the city to live in a hippie commune in south Wales, and part of his role in the small community is to set up and maintain a brewery.
The percussionist/dancer, real name Mark Berry, is also pursuing his hobby of beekeeping and he hopes to combine his two main loves to produce a sweet-tasting drinks range.
He tells NME magazine, “I’ve set up a brewery on the farm. And I plan to set up a bunk-room for campfires, beers and parties. I want to find a way of living out my old age without getting senile in the city with no support.”
